Award-Winning Wine Lists Await You at The Eldridge & The Oread
(LAWRENCE, KS) – TEN restaurant, inside the Eldridge Hotel, and Bird Dog Bar/Five 21, inside The Oread, have earned the 2017 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, which gives wine lovers reason to feel confident in their wine choices at these two elegant locales.
The two restaurants are the only Wine Spectator winners in Lawrence. It’s the fifth win for The Oread. TEN, inside the historic Eldridge Hotel, earned the award from 2007 through 2015.
“Customers will be wowed by our extensive wine list that heavily features many wonderful varieties from California. Wine producing regions around the globe are also represented, including French wine. Our servers, bartenders and managers will be happy to help you select just the right wine to pair with your meal,” said Nancy Longhurst, General Manager of the hotels. “This award particularly means a lot to our restaurant managers who make careful selections from quality producers.”
TEN restaurant and Bird Dog/Five 21 will be listed among the winners in the 2017 Wine Spectator magazine’s August edition, available on newsstands August 31. Wine Spectator reaches about 3 million people and brands itself as the world’s leading authority on wine.
