Sunflower Bank Creates Specialized Business Banking Group in Lawrence

Sunflower Bank has hired Jake Dale and Jason Powell to create a new Business Banking group in Lawrence. Located at Sunflower Bank’s Commercial Banking Center at 643 Massachusetts, the Business Banking group is part of the local Commercial team and delivers specialized service solely focused on building relationships with small and medium-sized businesses in Lawrence and the surrounding communities.

“We are very pleased that Jake Dale and Jason Powell have joined us to provide Business Banking services and expertise to our community in Lawrence,” said Glynn Sheridan, Market President and Regional Director for Sunflower Bank in Lawrence. “Having these experienced and skilled Business Bankers at Sunflower Bank strengthens our ability to help grow the small and medium-sized businesses that are key contributors to Lawrence’s economy.”

Through Business Banking, qualified clients benefit from a specifically-created credit structure and streamlined approval process. Dale is Vice President, Business Banker and has 20 years of experience in banking relationship management working with businesses in Northeast Kansas to maximize their financial potential. His expertise includes structuring commercial lines of credit, equipment financing, and SBA lending. Dale is active in the Lawrence community, participating in local charities and organizations including the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce Envoys, The Sertoma Club of Lawrence, and Junior Achievement. “I spent most of my career as a part of the Lawrence business community and I am thrilled to be back. Joining Sunflower Bank provides me the opportunity to help our local businesses prosper,” said Dale.

Powell is Assistant Vice President, Business Banker with a diverse background in financial services and B2B relationship development. Most recently he assisted customers with their commercial and personal banking needs at a national bank. Powell brings a commitment to excellence in relationship management and client support to the new Business Banking group. “I recently moved to Lawrence to be closer to family. I am excited for this new adventure and am eager to get involved in the community I plan to call home for many years to come,” said Powell.
