Mize Houser & Company P.A. Employment Practices Summit to Focus on Immigration, Payroll and HR Issues

Mize Houser & Company P.A. a regional accounting and consulting firm with a location in Lawrence, announces the 2017 Employment Practices Summit featuring area human resources, legal and accounting experts speaking on HR, payroll and compliance topics for area employers.

Formerly known as the Employer Compliance Workshop, the 2017 event will feature speakers addressing current developments in payroll, employment law, preparing for year-end tax and business challenges and the latest on employer immigration compliance issues including I-9, anti-discrimination rules and an update on pending immigration law changes under the Trump administration.

Two sessions of the workshop will be held in separate locations for the convenience of attendees:

                        November 28 –  Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, Kansas

                        November 29 –  Capitol Plaza Hotel, Topeka, Kansas

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the session running through 4:00 p.m. Lunch and a light continental breakfast will be provided.

Workshop topics and speakers include:

  • Mira Mdivani, Attorney and Founder of the Mdivani Corporate Immigration Law firm “Corporate Immigration Issues”
  • Kristina Dietrick, President, HR Partners
    “Five Components of Great Employee Engagement”

This year’s event will also include roundtable discussions, giving attendees the opportunity to discuss hot topics with their peers and Mize Houser professionals.

Launched in 1996, the annual event is open to clients and business and non-profit leaders who are looking for the latest updates on compliance issues delivered in a one-day presentation format.  Registration is required to attend the Summit at either location and costs $75 per person.  Additional information can be found at MizeHouser.com or by contacting Stephanie Luke (sluke@mizehouser.com).

I mean, Yes, it was my choice to read, but I genuinely thought you would probably have something useful to talk about. All I hear is a bunch of crying about something you could possibly fix if you were not too busy looking for attention.
